The City Music Project
The City Music Project
The City Music Project (TCMP) is a musical hybrid balancing electronic and traditional musical components, based out of Philadelphia, PA. Their style of ‘alternative dance’ fuses together elements of reggae, trance, house, dub, electro-rock, hip-hop, Latin, dubstep, drum & bass, dancehall and world music. At its core are singer/songwriter Frank Cervantes and producer/DJ Golden Spiral (Adrian Palashevsky). Their live performance integrates vocals, live instruments and studio/performance-based production hardware and software, incorporating elements of video art, LED dancing, and lighting, along with cameo appearances from a number of different guest musicians involved. They perform with a degree of control over their music that is both structured and open-ended, with a sound that is unmistakably original, yet inviting and recognizable.
Alright, Junior
Alright, Junior
"When first you hear Alright, Junior, you may be intangibly tossed into a back in da day vortex, liberating early 90s grunge rock n' roll, lathered in crippling Smashing Pumpkins riffs and caliginous Alice in Chains vocals. They have endurance, there's no doubt in that, extolling their engendered appreciation for the last "good" era of rock music with all the spasmodic moves of an undomesticated bronco." (Origivation Spring 2007)

When you talk to the members of Alright Junior, you realize that with music, sometimes timing is everything. "You get the feeling with this band", says front man Jace Miller, "that something special is happening" Formed by members of 3 former Philadelphia Alternative Rock acts , Alright Junior began in the spring of 2006, when drummer Mike Fraclose and guitarist Steve DeMeo (formerly of The Rebel Saints) began writing and rehearsing with Miller (formerly of Juliet). With the later addition of bassist Greg Javonovich (formerly of Pennant Race), and with new material already in tow, Alright Junior burst onto the Philly scene, playing shows in familiar venues to surprisingly large crowds. Says DeMeo, "for a band that at the time was only 2 months old, we couldn't believe the response from the first few shows." "We realized that our old fan bases from the other bands were coming out as one in support of the new project.", says Miller. For promoters, writers, radio personalities and fans alike in the Philadelphia area, it became obvious from the start that Alright Junior wasn't truly a "new" act, but rather local music vets who were hell bent on stirring up the local music scene.

Playing over 200 shows in the past 2 years, covering a vast amount of area in the USA, Alright, Junior is keen on constantly being on the go. In 2009, the group began working with Big Blue Meenie Recording Studios (Rage Against The Machine, INXS, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Lifetime) in Jersey City, NJ, spearheaded by mastermind, Tim "Rumblefish" Gilles. Alan Douches from West West Side Music (The Misfits, Dillinger Escape Plan, Alkaline Trio, Ben Folds Five, Hot Water Music) in New Windsor, NY, applied his mastering expertise. Finishing their sophomore recording, a five (5) song EP named, "Our Temporary Everything", Alright, Junior. is determined on reaching the next step. The band remains to reside in Philly. Jace Miller (Trevose, Pa), Mike Fraclose (Toms River, NJ), Steve DeMeo (Kingston, NH), and Greg Jovanovich (Delran, NJ), collectively make up Alright, Junior."...the entire band is all over the stage, thrashing harder than any band I've seen.".- Philly.com
